Hello Rosemarie can answer for herself but some screen readers do not work brilliantly with Internet explorer. Thunder will only work with WebIE properly as will screen readers like Dual. I used to use WebIE sometimes with the Zoomtext screen reader in the days before I got Jaws.
It takes a while for people to learn all the internet shortcut and page reading available in Jaws and the text based browser approach may well be suitable for someone being introduced to browsing.
