I make quite a few CD's burning data files onto them.
I use the CD burning operation built into Windows XP.
XP first takes all the files and saves them to a staging area -- a folder
in Documents and Settings.
Then, I choose the option to copy these files to the CD.
The second part of this operation goes well.
But the first part, copying to the staging area, takes longer and longer
each time I do it.
The first time it took about 15 minutes. As I do more of it that time
increases to 30 minutes, to 50 minutes and beyond.
Does anyone know why the time for copying to the staging area keeps
increasing?
Blessings,
Tom
