Samuel, Can you use web based email or may the IMAP function in G-mail? You could create a specific Gmail account for each mailing list and check it when you feel like it. Gmail also allows you to IMAP your account to Outlook Express, i.e. you interact with the messages but they remain on the Gmail server. Just a thought.
