Oh right, I'll give that a try the next time it happens. Indeed, it could be a problem with my LAN driver, but the problem is I don't want to go ahead and perform Windows update since my proxy connection won't allow me to, and also the last time I did them, through a direct wireless connection, it mucked up my display driver such that I had a ghost one and some Vista features, like sleep/hybernate and display brightness, disappeared!
