Curtis, Grab your Windows install disk and put it in the CD-ROM drive. You want to run the system file checker by going to
Start, Run, sfc /scannow This will search your Windows install and replace any bad or corrupt files. You will not get much of a status. The process will take about 10-15 minutes. It's a good place to start before trying a system retore or complete reinstall.
