Steve,

My guess would be that your office locks down their PC's so that users 
cannot do things like rip CDs. The network administrators have lots of tools 
at their disposal for this. I work in a bank and options are limited as to 
what you can and cannot do, and I'm in the computer department. So in short, 
I doubt it is your copy of WMP.
