Hello, I can't get wmp to rip a standard factory recorded audio CD. It
will play audio just fine, and I have used it for playing several times.
But I had never tried to use it to rip a CD until now.

When the rip function is pressed I get an error message stating that It
cannot rip the files

Is there a way to disable the rip function in WMP? I have been thru the
help menu but have not been able to find any info that helps.

The problem is on my office computer, it is a stand alone unit, with Windows
XP 2003. I am not sure what version of WMP.

Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, I was able to rip the CD's on my home computer.

Thanks,
