You can always use the insert e command to have the default button
announced.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] One NB thing related to navigating almost any
'dialogue'

In line with lots of different bits of info posted on this list, I just
thought I may as well bring up one thing.

Don't try/use the enter key to activate a button in a dialogue unless you
are 100% sure it's in fact the default button for that dialogue since in an
actual dialogue box, the enter key will always simply activate the default
button (which is generally decided/set by the developers as such for the
dialogue).

Always rather use the space bar to activate a button and that way you won't
sometimes wonder why strange things are happening.

FWIW, if the popup window is in fact just a form and not a dialogue as such,

the enter key will activate the current button/control, but it's
safer/simpler to just steer away from a possible problem/issue.

This is also (and probably not such a possible issue) why when I want to in
fact open a sub menu, I use the right arrow key instead of entering thereon.

Anyway, just my 2 cents worth.

Stay well
