Yes, two things can you do:
First, make a system restore.
You can make it, if you go in the system restore, and select one day, on the
day it worked.
If it does not work, make the next, with a sighted person.
Pick up a windows xp CD. Boot the system from the CD.
Then select the restore consol from the menu, and restore the damaged data.
