Hi all,
Apple has outdone themselves -again- with making sure that their product,
which is out for Windows computers now as well, is one that is not even
remotely accesible.
Just read that when you run this, supposedly fast and great browser, there
is no speech at all, coming from any screenreaders.
the article said that they simply did not programme it to communicate with
screenreaders... wonderful!
i just got into it on a forum where one sighted person thinks this browser
is so darn great.
things like this are so depressing, I feel like I don't even count as a
potential user, which I am sure I don't, given their attitude towards blind
users.
jaws will probably try and come up with scripts and stuff to work around
this problem, when in reality it should be the other way around.
oh well.
take care,
chrissy
