No idea re: using Nero since I usually just do my bit using the built-in 
windows explorer functionality, and unfortunately I have no idea if it could 
mix file types, whereas if I pasted audio files (MP3 or WMA) onto a blank 
CD, then got the writing process to start by ejecting the CD and then 
reinserting it, it would offer me the option to either write a data CD, or 
an audio CD as such.
