Hi, yeah sure. Avast is another antivirus software, and in my view is better than AVG in terms of both protection and detection. Go to www.avast.com for more information. Make sure you download the free home edition. Registration is required, but you've got 60 days to play with it and see for yourself how in my humble opinion good Avast is and not so good AVG is.
