Hi Rick,

Is this even possible with a broadband connection, Being Verizon? I thought
once you turned on the computer you automatically had a internet connection.
I have tried turning my anti virus off on all of the computers and tried
sending an email, but I got the same result. I'm going to have to try
creating an additional email address on each computer like frank said and go
from there. Do you have any other thoughts on this issue?

Thank you,

H Roger,
If I understand you correctly, you are wanting to e-mail across your network

without an internet connection.
If so, before disabling any anti-virus, or firewall, make sure you
disconnect from the internet first.

Hi Frank,

I'm going to give both of these suggestions a shot.
Thank you for all of the help.

Take care,

OK, I was going on the assumption that this only happens with email from
your desktop. Since it happens with all computers on your network I find
it even more difficult to blame on Outlook as it is highly unprobable
that all four copies of Outlook are configured incorrectly. Since it is
a problem common to all computers on the network it is normal to look
for some commonality between them that could cause such an issue. The
two most likely culprits are the email servers/account itself and
antivirus software if the same antivirus software is being used on each
machine. Certainly your router and DSL modem are common to all but there
is nothing in either one that is capable of blocking specific emails.
Like I said in my other message, the test of using another email server
is a good one and disabling the antivirus is another good test.

Frank,

I really don't know, but would this even matter, seeings that the
problem
exists with all of the email addresses on all of the computers, on the
network? I mean, I do have the same problem with the laptops, along with
my
girls desktop. It is not just my desktop.

Hi Roger, your ISp really is only looking at traffic between your
external IP address and their end. Before getting involved in packet
tracing and connectivity issues which there really is no reason to
suspect first narrow it down to a specific email address or computer.
For example you can try moving the email address you use on your desktop
to one of the laptops and try sending an email to see if the problem
follows the email address to the laptop or stays on the desktop (meaning
swap email addresses between desktop and laptop).

Yeah I'm not trying to do this. I've even been in touch with my ISP and
they told me that there is no connectivity issues between them and me.
All
information that is shared between all computers in the network are
shared
in the proper place, My network places.
Thanks again for the thoughts.

Multiple email addresses are not necessary. What is necessary is to
leave a copy of the email on the server after it has been downloaded by
the first computer. It doesn't matter if both computers are online at
the same time or if one is connected after the other. This is really a
very simple modification to your email setup, but the exact steps depend
upon the type of email being used (POP3, IMAP4, or Exchange). Please see
my previous message for more details. However, in terms of network
architecture and administration this is a major no-no. For security
reasons no one person should be allowed to be logged onto more than one
computer at a time. If a person needs to share information with
themselves on multiple computers this should be done by saving the
information on a network share.

Yes, this is probably the case. Why not set up multiple e-mail addresses
for
the separate computers on your network?
