Check to see that you have your JAWS punctuation set to ALL. This may not
help with all symbols in the formula. I've never found a way around this,
so have always resorted to using human readers. If you arrow through a
formula, does JAWS indicate that it is seeing a graphic? Maybe there is a
way for you to know what that symbol is if you know the graphic number.
Just a thought.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Accessing Formulas

Hi
In my college math class we are studying algebra. When I am on the
class site there are many formulas that show clearly to sighted people and
yet my JAWS 9 software is not reading them. This is causing me to fall
behind. Any ideas on how to get JAWS to read the formulas? It also is having
troubles reading the formulas in MS Word. I need to be able to edit formulas
using the MS Word formula editor. Any ideas are appreciated.

God bless,
Mark
