Hi mitch, This could be a few things. firstly, check to see if there's any objects or dust blocking the air intake and the fans, if not, that rules out an overheating problem. It could also be something to do with the power supply or motherboard, i'd do a thorough clean of all hardware, inside of the machine and out, and also leave the machine off for around an hour to allow it to cool.
