Hi Mich,
Based on an earlier post from you, concerning the free space on your hard
drive,
you need to make some changes in at least 2 areas.
1. You need to free up more space on your C drive.
Windows requires at least 15 percent free space for maintenance, and the
page file.
The fuller your hard drive is, the more unstable the operating system can
become.
2. When you are performing operations such as burning cds, converting audio
files, or other resource intensive tasks,
you should take a break from the computer, and walk away for awhile.
Additionally, when you are running a scan, whether it be for viruses, or
hard drive errors etc, there should be nothing else in use except for your
screen reader.
Following these practices, will greatly reduce the chance of problems.
While it is true that computers are designed for multi-tasking, you can't
expect them to work well, if the tasks you are performing are
each requiring alot of resources.
