Brian
You don't need to open up your computer. Go to the control panel and open 
the System icon. Press Control-Tab to get to the hardware tab. Press Tab 
once to get to the Device Manager button. Press the Space bar then Tab to 
your computer name. You will then be in a tree that shows  all the 
components and devices in your computer. Arrow down to Display Adapter and 
then Right-arrow to view the adapter properties.
