Ok. Actually just realised you meant it had worked for 5 minutes, and tried it again on 10 minutes, and yes, it did also do 5 minutes for me.
Apart from this one (and 5 minutes is normally fine for me), I normally use audacity if I want to go select specific lengs/sections of an audio file, but that's not such a simple interface, but I think you can also download the version of that from the homepage of this list.
