You're fortunate to have a laptop battery last that long. Normally you can only get about 2 years out of the battery. Of course, that also depends on how much you use it on battery power. There is a way to refresh a battery in the bios, but it takes sighted help. If that doesn't do anything for your battery, then you will need to replace it.
