Perhaps Netflix does this by design! They could insist that no other application can access the video drivers so they can attempt to stop applications from capturing the video. I know Microsoft did this in Windows Media Center. It will not play a DVD when JAWS is running. Similarly, Amazon just patched their Video On Demand offerings to prevent applications from capturing their streaming Flash video. Even though they only show 2 minutes of video before they insist that you either rent or buy the movie, the whole movie was downloaded and allowed people to capture the whole movie.
