Thanks for the suggestion.  Can you  use a headphone & microphone combo if

Correct on all of those, and you won't necessarily need head phones, just
speakers and a desktop microphone, but if you take that rout, make sure you
put the mike a good distance away from your speakers, because if not, then
the person on the other end of the call gets to hear their voice twice,
which i'll say from experience is extremely irritating.
