Hi Patricia,
I don't think you need to worry about that staying in the run command. When you open it again and start typing in something else it will go away. Actually it is handy that it does remember it since sometimes you need to use the same command over again. For instance, my "Remove hardware safely" icon has disappeared from the System Tray so I found a way to open it with the run dialog box but it is a really long string to type so I am glad it stays there. In fact when you open the run dialog box you can arrow down and see the last several things you typed in.

This evening I had to call my ISP since we had no connection and in the process of trying to figure out why we didn't, the nice teck man had me to do the run command and type in there...cmd because he had to check my ISP address...

Now when I want to do run command, that is still there that, cmd. So wonder how to get it so nothing shows in the edit area??

Oh btw...my ether net cable had mysteriously came unplugged behind the computer of course..

But hey it was a learning experience, I had to use the jaws right mouse click to get to the local area network window and then had to do it again to enable it.
Good 'ol jaws just came through like a trooper.

I was blessed to have a teck person who was very nice and patient with me doing it the keyboard route..

But if anyone can tell me how to remove that cmd from the run command I tried to backspace it, select it but no go, hmmm.

Thanks,

Patricia
