But Web Vision accomplishes this already as a plug in for Firefox quite legitimately and there is no suggestion that the whole system is "irrevocably compromised". So why not have this feature embedded in Jaws for all of us to use across browser platforms?
Personally I would still like even better PDF support as even so called accessible PDF documents tend to lock up with all the Jaws versions I have tried. A nice touch would be to have the option of FSReader to include in its demo feature the capacity to open PDF documents as a html version. I know the freeware Accessible PDF Reader tries to accomplish this but I find it struggles with big files and you cannot associate pdf files to open in Explorer. All pdf files have to be opened from within the Accessible PDF Reader program itself which makes opening pdf files a little tedious.
