Victor, I have about the same setup and I have problems with 5.541 as well. The volume commands work but fast foreword and rewind do not. I tried reinstalling Winamp to no avail. I also tried several different media sources again to no avail. I don't have any good answers other than returning to an earlier version of the software. I have 5.32 on my laptop and it works with no problem.

When you get an error message, try doing insert-control W. This will let you look at the screen. You can also select the entire screen with control-A and then copy it to the clipboard with Control-C. You can then paste it into an email or Note Pad with control-V. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Victor" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "blind Computing" <blind-computing@jaws-users.com> Sent: Friday, December 05, 2008 11:04 PM Subject: [Blind-Computing] Winamp Problems and Crashing Hi Folks, Recently, When ever I open a file with the latest version of Winamp, version 5.41, Winamp will play the file, but it doesn't allow me to do anything else except close it down. Once it does close down, it gives me an error dialog box that says something I can't read, and offers me the only three buttons, that being close, debug and details. When I press the debug button, the dialog box disappears and I don't see anything else to indicate that the program has been debugged, nor does it offer me the option of debugging the program manually. When I press the details button, all it does is open up the technical details, and makes me close it, meaning there's nothing in the details screen that will allow me to see what error is going on. At this point, my only option is to close it down. I'm using Windows XP with service pack 3, Jaws 9, latest build, and Winamp 5.41. If it makes any difference, I am using AVG 8, latest build, and Mal-ware Bites, Super Anti-spyware, Spybot and XoftSpy for scanning my computer for spyware. Any suggestions on what's going on, and is there anyone else with whom this is happening to? Any help would be appreciated.
