I've found, like you, that earlier versions of Winamp are much more stable
than more recent versions, and I saw this when they released 5.50, and so
I didn't bother to update the player until well after that version.
Having said that, I have found that 5.35 has and continues to be the most
stable of their versions thus far.
I have yet to see any problems with that version.
I actually send spaced version 5.35 for someone else, so if you ever want
to move up to that version, let me know and I'll send the link to download
it.
Glad to know I'm not the only person experiencing this phenomenon. Smile.
