Initially, just make sure none of the other keys on your keyboard are maybe
stuck.
The reason for suggesting this one is that on some machines hitting Ctrl +
Alt + F4 will make them shutdown.
I'd say try turning on Jaws keyboard help and see what it reckons you're
typing when hitting Alt + F4 on purpose as such.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] It's killine me
Just every time I close a window with alt if 4, my computer dies, I think;
in that jaws goes away and its hot key will not bring it back. If it
helps in my explanation, I hear a "dong" sound when I hit the alt if 4
keys. I have to turn the computer off and then back on again to get jaws
back. What could this be all about and how can I get rid of the problem.
