On the jaws user home page Programs you will find both Real Alternative which is as it says is a less resource hungry alternative to Real Player and QuickTime Alternative which is the same for QuickTime.
For a long time I have used these instead of the main apps. Both are set up to work with Firefox I believe. In fact currently I only have Real Alternative installed and Firefox appears to work fine with just this for streaming media content . Neither of these programs hog resources by loading at start up, going into system tray etc etc. Regards David Griffith =v -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Desiree Oudinot Sent: Monday, 08 December 2008 00:25 To: blind-computing@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] firefox Oops, that was a typing error. What I wanted to say was: In order to play sounds in Firefox, you need Quicktime. Thanks for putting up with my bad typing, lol.
