I don't think you're doing anything wrong.  I just tried Alt-D with JFW 10,
and it worked normally.  The Address bar was highlighted, and I was able to
copy it to the clipboard.  Try switching to JFW 9 to see if you still have
trouble with the Alt-D command.  If it still doesn't work, you may need to
reboot your computer to restore whatever is out of whack.
