Thank you everyone for your help! Problem solved! I tried rebooting my computer and then tried alt+D - still to no avail. With sighted help, I was told that when I did alt+D the address line was highlighted, but I was unable to copy it using ctrl+C. To make a long story short, the answer to the problem was to use F6 (rather than alt+D), and that brought the address line into focus which then allowed me to highlight and then allowed use of ctrl+C. Thank you very much for your help again. Charline
