Hi all,

Two years ago, when I got my computer, I signed up with Verizon for high
speed DSL. Along with the kit, they sent me a Westell Versalink 327w
modem/router. My internet connection is working absolutely fine when I am
wired to the Ethernet. Now, I'd like to set up a wireless connection. I
don't know how to do this, so I called Verizon for help. They instructed me
to type in the address for the modem (192.168.1.1) from the browser. Then
they gave a bunch of instructions from the configuration menu. I don't seem
to have a configuration menu; after I type the address, it takes me to a
home page. There are about six links which don't take me anywhere. I'm using
JAWS 8, and windows XP SP2 professional. I'm using a Dell Latitude d620, and
I have a Dell WLAN card. The wireless on the laptop works fine, with other
connections. The Verizon person was no help, because when you tell these
people you are using a screen reader, and don't use a mouse, they don't
understand. They also wanted to know: didn't I have someone to help me? I
live by myself, and would like to get this done without sighted help. I've
googled around and many people are having problems with this modem, and
everyone refers to the configuration menu, but I can't seem to find it. I'm
either missing something very obvious, or I have some software missing. If
anyone has had any experience with this, I'd greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks much.

Joan Goldberg
