I have encountered the problem with other programs also.

The work around   I use is to route Jaws to PC using  insert and numpad
minus and then read with the Jaws Cursor. This at least allows you to
restricts the amount of text being read  .

Another question about firefox and jaws commands... I sometimes get dialogue
boxes popping up and I need to hear them again or here the full message of
the dialogue box. In internet explorer, I simply typed the combination
insert B. That spoke the dialogue. Now in firefox when I try to use that
command, I speaks through all sorts of things on the page before it gets
around to reading the dialogue. Is there a way for me to just hear the
contents of the dialogue box?
