Like david said, I think all that really matters is that they control your
outgoing and incoming connections wich they do very well. Most of the knewer
firewalls that are out there have all these extra features like spam
blocking wich they may need to update from time to time but as far as it
goes on doing what a firewall is supposed to do I don't see many updates,
even with the ones that are still updated like sunbelt and what ever else.

I've been a little worried ever since Sygate got swallowed up, and I still

Neither program are updated any longer, but in my opinion at least Kerio
seems to be a bit less of a power hungry program. I've put them both
through
Steve Gibson's shields up test and they passed.
