I personally have two programs, AVG Internet Security 8 and Super Antispyware.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] how much malware protection doodle for google???

Another question then. I have AVG 8, the free version, on my computer. That's all I have. It's struck me as odd that I don't get warned about malware or viruses at all, except on a very rare occasion. My boyfriend has about 4 programs on his computer for protection and he's catching things right and left. And he even uses his computer less than I do. How many programs does it take to keep a computer adequately clean from malware?

My BF uses all sorts of inaccessible programs since he's sighted, so I'll have to check this recommended suggestion out, as well as some others. I guess I'm just wondering, though, how many malware programs you avid computer users have on your computers? At least 4? More than that? Less than that?

Kate, could be spyware. Download and install the free Super Antispyware from
www.superantispyware.com. It's fully accessible.

Okay, I don't use iGoogle, but I use google.com for searching the web.
Lately I'll do a search and then this window comes up and jaws announces
that it's my search page, but there isn't anything on the page except some
of googles general links plus this advertisement for "doodle for google". I just have to wait for the ad to go away and then my results show up and the page appears as I'd expect. Looks like there's no way around this except to
wait and it takes forever for the screen to change back to what it's
supposed to be. This seems really ridiculous, how do I get past this?
