Consider upgrading to 8.0 and reboot when that happens and all will be fine I think. ----- Original Message ----- From: Gerald Levy To: blind-computing Sent: Monday, February 09, 2009 7:33 AM Subject: [Blind-Computing][Blind-Computing] Strange Firewall Message
Hi listers. Lately, whenever I turn on my Dell Precision 390 workstation with XP Pro, or awaken it from Standby mode, I hear a message like, "Your Firewall Is Not Turned On....". This is not the case, because I have checked the Windows Firewall option on the Control Panel, and it is definitely turned on. I use AVG 7.5 Network Edition which does not have a firewall setting. So is my Windows Firewall working or not? If so, how can I get rid of this message? Everyone loves to bash MS, but would Sygate Firewall really be any better than Windows Firewall? Thanks.
