Well, I wont say that one is better than the other but sygate certainly is
easier to configure and I have had less issues running it. I don't remember
what people say about windows firewall, like it does not enable you to
control the outgoing ports or what ever but I do know that sygate is
accessible, it does enable you to control both incoming and outgoing and as
I said, I have never had any problems with it.

Subject: [Blind-Computing][Blind-Computing] Strange Firewall Message
Hi listers. Lately, whenever I turn on my Dell Precision 390 workstation
with XP Pro, or awaken it from Standby mode, I hear a message like, "Your
Firewall Is Not Turned On....". This is not the case, because I have
checked the Windows Firewall option on the Control Panel, and it is
definitely turned on. I use AVG 7.5 Network Edition which does not have a
firewall setting. So is my Windows Firewall working or not? If so, how
can I get rid of this message? Everyone loves to bash MS, but would
Sygate Firewall really be any better than Windows Firewall? Thanks.
Gerald
