I can tell you that if he has either Vista Home Basic or Vista Home Premium all he needs is a JAWS standard licence. If, however, he has Vista Business, Vista Enterprise or Vista Ultimate, he'll require a JAWS pro licence. He will get the current, Vista-compatible version of JAWS (JAWS 10.0.512). Hope this helps.
