Victor, The "unknown variable" error message usually indicates that you have made reference to a variable name somewhere in your code that has not been properly declared prior to that reference.
It could also be caused by some incorrect syntax in your code in the vicinity of the reference to that variable. One confusing issue in your message: You say the code compiled and then you say that it didn't.
