Thank you for your vote of encouragement. The fact is as I see them people
use forums such as this for reasons unrelated to the guidelines of the list
but in their eyes it is a means to reach a huge amount of individuals with
minimal effort. They must know or at least some of them should that once
they cross that bridge there is no turning back. I feel bad that in such
cases it behooves me to come down on such a person like a thunder cloud but
that is the only way it seems to manage such a large operation as this. This
list is rapidly approaching 300 subscribers and the jaws list is knocking on
the door of 500 believe it or not, and if you allow such things to go
unmonitored and left to run wild then chaos will soon result. Oh BTW he
won't be back at all under the address he was using. It is not normally in
my nature to be so hard on a person but that is the job I agreed to do and I
must be doing something right or there would not be so many members on here.
Thank you for reading my long and some what ranting speech but like I said
so long as I own this domain and have the people to work with that help me
run these lists there will be order.

Hi David,
I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work on the lists. I have
received much help from them over the years. I feel bad when the lists are
abused.
As far as getting a PayPal account for a person in a foreign country
goes. It is quite possible that this is an action that would be viewed quite
unfavorably by the United States government. I believe Iran is on the
restricted nations list. So, I hope everyone will stay with in the laws of
their nation and we can all go back to discussing computer things.
God bless,
Mark

Some days it's just not worth checking my morning email. I took a lot of
time to write out the signature trailer for both lists along with the
guidelines and it makes me so upset when members have no idea at all what
any of those documents contain in them. In the signature of each and every
message posted to this list as well as the JAWS Users List included is the
contact information for the moderating team. Also I might add that up on
the home page for this domain are links that will lead you to pages
containing information for subscribing to both lists and also on those pages
here again is the contact information for the list moderators. So do not
tell me that a person tried very hard to find out this information when it
comes across their desk top some times 40 or 50 times a day. I'm going to
have breakfast right now without taking any further action as I am far to
upset. If some other member of the team takes any action at all that is up
to them and I'll support it, but right now I'm going to step away before I
do something rash. I am the only person with the ability to make these lists
go away and although I'm not going to do that some mornings I feel like it.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] PayPal Account Request
Hello there,
First of all, let me say that no matter how I looked, I didn't find the
moderators' email address to run this email by them before sending it to the
list, so I request, for the sake of the moderators, and for my sake, and to
prevent any bans/probations/etc, please send your answers off-list to me. My
email address and contact information, as always, is in the signiture of the
email. I am sending this email to this list because I'm not part of any
mailing lists that has as many long-time internet users. Moderators can feel
free to put me on probation, if the rules tell them to do so. (I'm aware of
the frustration violation of the rules makes them feel)
Do to United States' liking towards sanctions (no matter if they include the
population of the country or not), I have been unable to create a PayPal
account and interact with others through money, and hence, I have been
called everything during my six years in the internet. "Having no respect
towards people that create programs, putting their time and energy on it",
"cracker", and "stingy" are the best, and most polite things I have received
from the developers, not to mention the... ah, less polite and more severe
ones. So, I thought of creating a PayPal account with the help of someone
that lives outside Iran (the country I live in), or using an account they do
not use at all.
I have already found websites in Iran that convert PayPal dollars to Iranian
rials, but strangely (and rather unsurprisingly), no one has the absolute
ability to create and maintain an account (because no one has a bank account
in United States, or a creditcard outside of Iran, and as you know, the
proof of your bankaccount/creditcard is needed to create a PayPal account).
Hence, this is what I thought of doing:
Having someone create a PayPal account for me in any way they feel
comfortable, and giving me the information to sign in/use the account.
I will get the money into my account with the help of Iranian PayPal-money
buyers/sellers, so I wouldn't need any real creditcard to back me up.
So, all I need is a legal PayPal account to use - that's all.
Is anyone able to answer my cries of frustration for help? I'm not sending
this email to say that I deserve pitty, if that's what you're thinking. I'm
just saying that, I'm tired of using cracks. I'm tired of waiting for a
crack to come out, and then every time I start the program, I'd think, "What
if I could help the developer, even though the program costs five dollars?".
I can't buy any books from Amazon. Can't get most programs through the
respective websites. Can't sell anything to anyone.
I know, it doesn't sound like a luxury to be able to send and receive money
through the internet to those who are able to, but believe me, it's better
than six years of frustration and being called names.
Thank you, and sorry for this long email.
Be well,
Parham Doustdar
