Is a bit strange, unless you accidentally cleared the recycle bin without remembering doing it - LOL?

Stay well

Hi Jacob,

Thank you very much for your response. I was unable to find the file with a
search, which I don't understand because I only pressed the delete key and
it should have went into the Recycle Bin. I did have all these " .eml "
files saved to a flash drive and was able to recover it from there. I just
don't understand where that file went. Thanks again, take care.
Mike

How did it get deleted?

In windows explorer, did you just hit the delete key?

If you hit shift + delete, it would in fact just get deleted instead of
going to recycle bin.

If in windows explorer and on the tree structure on the left, your local
harddrive, C: is highlighted, hit Ctrl + F, tab to all files and folders and
hit space on it, then in the file name box, you could try typing in
something like *.eml
which will return all *.eml files on the harddrive.

If this still doesn't find it, there are more options in that search
interface to make sure it'll return system/hidden files/folders etc. etc.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Finding missing file

Hi All,

I accidentally deleted a " .eml " file out of My Documents. It is not in
the recycle bin. Where else could this file have gone after being
deleted?
Or, being that it is a " .eml " file that it is now totally gone bye-bye?
I
have also looked in my deleted folder in OE with no luck. I have done a
search with no luck also. I am running XP Home, OE, & Jaws 10 latest.
All
help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.
Mike
