Hello and thanks for getting back. It seems that the problem is that the
device is not showing up. if in a terminal, using iwconfig to see the
wireless devices, it does not show any wireless devices so I am thinking
it's a matter of drivers.

What exactly is the problem? Have you tryed going to the top pannel and
clicking or pressing enter on the network icon? if so, what happened?
