It could possibly be a matter of drivers. Just for kicks, have you tried
updating your OS? It is possible that wireless drivers could have been
added or modified in an update. And, have you tried using different
wireless settings in the GUi?
Thanks

Hello and thanks for getting back. It seems that the problem is that
the device is not showing up. if in a terminal, using iwconfig to see
the wireless devices, it does not show any wireless devices so I am
thinking it's a matter of drivers.

Hello list. I have noticed that some of us have taken the time to go
out and get these wonderful little computers do to there price and
size. I got me a asus eeepc 1000h netbook which I can say I
absolutely love but am having an issue when I am running vinux, live
on it. of corse, the best way to get it going in the first place is
to install vinux on a flashdrive which I did and boots just fine.
Problem is getting the wireless to worrk. I do not have the option
currently to use ethernet so wireless is the way I have to go. I am
not good enough at linux unfortunitly to see what the problem may
be. Perhaps it's drivers I need, perhaps it's something else. If
anyone has ever tried something like this and had better luck, any
ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
