Will also just say that to just link the two computers with a normal network
cable, you'd need what we call a twisted pair cable, where wires 5 and 7 got
swapped around between the two ends so that you then don't need a router/hub
inbetween them, but I'm pretty sure the network wizard would still do the
rest for you.

Hi Michael,
You didn't say which version of Windows you have on either computer,
but if it is XP, simply go to the control panel, and press enter on the
Network Setup Wizard.
When the wizard opens, it will walk you thru the steps.
Run the wizard on both computers.
