Thanks Rick. My sapi seems to be working fine, but I'll post if I find anything about this on the knowledge base.

I would try researching this on the Microsoft Knowledge Base. HTH, Richard Q. I'm having trouble with my audio games. None of them will play. Every single one of them produces an error 429, which states ActiveX component can't create object. I've researched this probem and narrowed it down to unregistered dll files. Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, can you tell me which DLLs I need to reregister? I don't just want to reregister all my DLLs because there are thousands of them, and I have found that this can sometimes go wrong and cause other problems. Is there somethign I need to reinstall other than directX to accomplish this. I've already tried downloading and reinstalling directX. This is all in Vista. I hope someone can help. I'd be exceedingly grateful. Thanks in advance.
