Hi,
The problem is that the My Documents icon on the desktop is a shortcut to
c:\documents and settings\Username\My Documents.
You therefore cannot use alt plus enter to add a shortcut key there.

Hi Rogelio,

When you press alt + enter to access the properties dialogue for My
Documents from the desktop this is what you get.
My Documents Properties
Target General Sharing
The My Documents folder is a shortcut to the target folder location shown
below.
Target folder location
Target: C:\Documents and Settings\Mike\My Documents Restore Default Move...
Find Target...
OK Cancel Apply
There is not a shortcut key option in here and so this is why you create
your shortcut through the applications key and follow the rest of the steps
that Dan layed out so nicely. This is for XP Home. I don't know if these
same steps would apply for XP Pro. Take care.
Mike

I am unsure of what you mean when you say system Icon. Do you mean the
System Trey?
