I solved the problem and got my gmail to download in OE. I finally found that on the Security tab in the Options somehow the "More restricted" choice was chosen instead of the "less restrictive" one. I imagine it happened when the security update from Microsoft was installed since that was when the problem began. I am very relieved to have it working again since it is impossible for me to handle the multitudes of mail coming through my gmail account online. Sherrie Gosling
