I would opt for another backup media.
A re-writable cd or dvd would not make a reliable backup.
If you left the disk open, you would have to burn another session, and more
than likely,
you would just end up with another batch of files.
You would be better off with a flash drive, or external hard drive, and a
replicator program to
backup only the changes to your files.
