I dealt with a pretty bad virus. I thought my computer was still infected because my System Restore still did not show up correctly. They even escaladed me to a special virus team that Microsoft has. They explained everything to me. The cause of it was that the virus caused the damage. The virus erased all my restore points, along with a dialog box that lets you see past 5 days. He told me how I could fix that too.
