Hello Pete,
I think it has to do with the embosser printinghead. I am using an Index emboser and has faced the same problem, and we had to replace the printinghead.
anyway its best to contact your dealer first.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Duxbury And Braille Embosser Settings

Hello all. My friend uses Duxbury braille translation software and a Romeo Pro 50 embosser. Recently, her finished braille documents have unfirm dots, in other words, the braille is not sharp and easy to read. My question is: might this have to do with settings in the translation software or perhaps on the braille embosser itself.
Any help with be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Pete
