No in Vista, you uncheck the check box if you don't want UAC or vice versa. It is correct that Windows 7 is more lenient when it comes to UAC prompts, and this will be the selling point in my opinion.

This is the UAC the User Action control. You can set its slider to 0 percent or off, but ask the Vista-ites to help you since I don't use it. Good luck.
