I was just on the site and it seems to use Ubuntu. I didn't see anything about Debion.

According to Tony Sales, who is leading the Vinux development, Debian is much more stable. He started with Ubuntu with the 1.x versions. Ubuntu is very popular and has a lot of hardware support right out of the box. He was having much difficulty, however, keeping current with their quickly changing baseline. This baseline frequently had problems with certain applications. Therefore, their development cycle would not allow him to create a stable distro. He has done a lot of work configuring this distribution to work with as much hardware support as possible. Of course, the focus is to have accessibility applications installed and ready from the start. With most distributions, you need to know quite a bit about Linux to get Orca installed and configured. I would not want to portray moving to Linux as not having a learning curve! Fortunately, there are numerous sources on the web for tutorials at all levels. If you are curious, give the Live CD a test run! It does not perform as well as installing to your hard drive, but there is absolutely risk free! Some people might prefer to use Vinux in a window of your current Operating system as a Virtual Machine. There is a version setup for 1.5.2 on his server and will soon have a 2.0 release available as well. Keep in mind running two Operating Systems at the same time requires quite a bit of memory, and hard disk. This not a viable option for older machines.
